Hi my name is Tema and this was one of the tasks. What i found fun was learning more facts about Samoa and getting to know the culture better. Hope you like it!
The Mighty Cloud!
I was blocking the sun’s view. I was traveling like an airplane. I started bouncing up and down like I was on a trampoline. I started crying like I lost someone and I caused a flood. I started lighting up, furious and I felt bees spinning around my head. I smelt smoke, it made me sick. People were running fast as a cheetah to their homes. I started shrinking to a fluffy cotton candy ball. I melted like ice and i felt like my life was over!!!
“Do you know about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch?”
I have! It’s a pile of rubbish in the middle of nowhere and it’s about 80 million kilograms of plastic.
It’s very bad for the community and for animals. A Lot of animals get trapped, tangled, also lose their family members
And lives.
So my idea is to do whatever you can to use not that much plastic and to spread the word!.
Key message: Little changes can change to bigger changes
The Humongous Volcanac
Boom!!! “Hey my name is Tema and I live at Mission Bay with my huge family. Have you ever experienced a volcano problem?”…
First, BOOM!! “Breaking news Mr Blob the scientist discovered that there was a volcano About to erupt near Mission Bay and it’s coming about in the next two hours. so if you’re near or you live at mission Bay it’s your time to get prepared and get out of the red zone!”, said the news reporter.
Next, we were shocked as a gorilla stealing a monkey’s banana, we started panicking like a maniac, like someone took our souls. “Go pack your stuff”, Mum said. and we went running to our rooms like a rat running all over the place!.
Afterwards, I started packing my…
water bottle
(to get hydrated
Food
(to survive this volcano explosion)
Radio and batteries
(so i could know whats happening and so i could change the batteries)
Mask
(so the musty dusty gusty ash doesn’t go in my lungs)
Goggles
(For the ash to don’t come in my eyes)
Clothes
(In case we get wet or something happens to our clothes)
Planket
(If i get cold and it feels like i’m in a north pole)
Torch
(so i could see)
After packing my Stuff I went downstairs and everybody was already ready.
“It’s about damn Time” said my sister, singing it!
“Is it a singing battle or what?”, said mum
And we started giggling like a chipmunk.
“Hurry we’re gonna die soon its getting hotter well
We’re hearing you guys laugh too much”, said Dad.
Later, We started rushing To the car like a pronghorn.
*My dad speeding
I felt my heart beating like I was having a heart attack.
KABOOM THE VOLCANO!!! Started rumbling like it was
Hungry and it made my tummy hungry with rumble. It was spitting out hot, chilly boiling water…
SUDDENLY!!! The floor clapped like a human being and my dad went speeding off to Mt roskill. we were making a trail of slag and it started dripping all over the place! And we finally made it
Before we almost lost our lives!
BOOM!!! Have you experimented being a raindrop?
Well… I felt like I was crying into bits and I was already down to the steel floor. It felt so hard like it was iron .
I was terrified and horrified. I thought I was going to die and shatter into bits and pieces like I was glass. But I was twirling and flipping like I was dancing to everybody breaking into bits!!!
But as soon as I hit the floor I dried up like I was toast and blacked out!
